Christopher Martin
Chris Martin joined the coaching staff in the fall semester of 2015. He began playing rugby in fall of 2010. Formerly 8-man and captain of Lee University's men's team, he led them to many victories and was always pushing the standard of what it meant to be part of their brotherhood. Martin brings the qualities of an experienced coach, player, and referee. He has attended many ATAVUS and USA Rugby camps, staying up-to-date on any new techniques and methods. While coaching a women's team is a new experience, Chris has shown time and time again that he is ready for any challenge.
Dr. Michael Freake
"I have been teaching at Lee since 2001 as a biology professor, and started coaching Lee Women's rugby when the club was formed in 2008. I played fullback through high school, and have been a huge fan of rugby ever since. Coaching at Lee allows me to share that passion with a new generation of players. Women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the United States, and gives an opportunity for women of all shapes, sizes and experience levels to play highly competitive rugby for their university. They do a great job of representing Christ and Lee both on and off the field, and it is a huge privilege to see the club grow, play great rugby, and promote the development of character and integrity in its members"

Former Coach: Nancy Campbell
Nancy Campbell joined Lee Women's Rugby in the Spring of 2009. She began playing rugby while in college at Florida State University. A journeyman rugger, she has played on several all-star and touring sides and as a member of many club sides. She formerly played lock for the Olde Girls, Gypsy Rugby (www.gypsyrugby.com), and Knoxville WRFC (www.knoxvillewomensrugby.com). Nancy has now moved to Shreveport, Louisiana. "Coaching at Lee is a daily affirmation of the ethos of rugby." Campbell said. "Camaraderie, fair play, and a dedication to the Principles of the Game are obvious whenever these young women gather. They are a joy to coach."
